I've pretty well got a complete set of GP bodywork from Scooter Restorations. I could get it shipped to OZ for free in a mates container who was emigrating, and it's something that typically costs a mint to get shipped.

Don't need it for anything at the moment, so it's very much 'on the shelf'. Is that green primer good enough for storage or should I get it a) stripped and repainted, or b) painted over again?

On a similar note, is it suitable as a 'base coat' when it is time to actually use them and get them painted for real or should they then be stripped?

Finally, just a comment, the side panels are actually better in quality than the ones off my Indian GP, no ripples from crappy stamping.

I'd leave it there for the trip, and until you go to use the panels.
Then I'd strip it all off and give it a coat of decent primer, etc.

yes the primer is ok for now,
but i dont paint over it as it lifts,
and i have found a lot of panels r second hand,in green primer,

i agree that you should leave it for now ,but certainly dont try and paint over it when the time comes......
remove it all,as you,ll often find lots of rust spiders under it....as yes it does react /lift..cos its shite.....
