What is best way to identify which type of speedo cable needed? Not sure if i ave indian???

Its my understanding that the Indian speedos all have 2 screws either side of the drive spigot that hold the mechanism in place while an Italian ones has a nut on the spigot holding the mechanism into the case.
May be B***** an adult will be along to prove me wrong
