petrol tap rod length

anyone know if anywhere sells slightly longer petrol tap rods-about 22cm in length? What length are they normally,don't have one to measure.

Are we talking Lambretta S3 here?
standard rod length (not including the knob) is around 22cm in length anyway.
You could always try rotating the tank a fraction after loosening off the straps.
As it happens I do have a petrol tap rod which has been altered in length for some reason, and that measures 23.5cm (not including the knob)
