Are thinking Indian GP type, or are you thinking ET3 bar end type? I would have thought the Indian GP type were pretty straightforward, the ET3, no I wouldn't go there, too many complications.

Have a look through a demon tweeks catologue or similar. Theres some lovely little indicators that don't have to look uncool.
Wiring would be fairly easy using vespa parts but finding a neat switch solution may not be so easy.

We got the Serveta ones and also Indian GP types are better fitting. Bar end signals will not work because of the rods

but according to the mot manual if a bike is modifide for off road use
it dose not need them.put some sticky tyres on and some good shocks
and tell them it is a track day scooter. simples!

You could use one of these Indian indicator switch housings for your switch. These come up once in a while on Ebay. This one I got for £15. Finding the correct switch would take a little more digging maybe. SR maybe a good place to start.
