Building a TS1 engine. Finances dictate that I save, buy a part, six months later, buy another part. All i have so far are the TS1 kit, engine casing and electronic ignition. Eventually looking to run engine with a JL3. Looking to end up with an engine suited to motorway / rallies and town/commuting.Any help / recomendations greatly appreciated.
I run an SX200 box and 16x46 on my TS tourer.
just bear in mind jonny what clutch youre gonna put in i,e 5 or 6 plate and wether you need the clutch sprocket (crown wheel )machining down to fit it all in or buy one already done .dont do it the wrong way round like some ppl
good luck .
or just run a 4 plate and suss better advice on springs so it dont slip .

Running a TS 1 225 on 16/47 with a LI 150 box (5.0), 5 plate clutch, JL 4, 35 TMX the gearing is spot on and she sits in 4th in the power no probs while others are changing up and down like mad men.
