Wondering if anyone has removed the springs and gubbins out of an old sprung type sprocket, welded it back up and used it? What did it weigh in at?
I see a world of possiblilities in my parts pile

Just went and saw that. That had tubes welded in place which must have upped the weight.
I am thinking a non-tubed conversion.

Can't understand why no one looked into doing it before. There must be tons of 'em just laying around doing nothing except taking up space.
