A while back someone was doing just this - they were adapting a SR barrel to take a reed block from a GT kit.
I can't remeber who it was that was working on it (LCGB forum maybe 2 years ago) and don't ever remember seeing it finished either.
Would it not be simpler to just buy something like the LTH reed manifod ?
Harry Barlow could sort any boost ports that you might want to add

just had a quick read over some old posts and this looks to cover most questions i have.
Just out of interest are these SR kits in a new form? i noticed people saying they had been discontinued.

Yeah they're the same kit. Scooter Restorations had them manufactured in India but then the manufacturer started to sell them to everyone ...... allegedly.
If buying a complete kit then be aware that some of the heads are no good. If someone can supply the 185 barrels only for a decent price then they make a great basis for a (long rod) Suzuki 190 conversion.
The transfer passages and entry angles into the bore need the most attention to get them to perform well from what I've been told.

Grimspeed......could you tell me more about the rd350 piston.
I assume it reed windows already cut in. What of crown profile, pin diameter, peg locations etc etc - you know the important stuff :D :D
Could you recommend a stockist for genuine or decent pattern ones?
