jumping into first gear .

just rebuilt an engine using li 150 box , when it`s ticking over it`s fine the moment you open the thottle in nuetral , it`s jumps into first gear and wants to take off , any idea`s , cheers :bouncyeng:

Don't suppose you've cabled it wrong way , and it's in a false neutral between third and fourth?

hi jet 200 , first auto and does not need a person to ride it , does its own thing

Could the cables be just to tightly done up..?..once did some that was mega tight and having no handlebar slop..on starting up and just putting hand on handlebar it jumped in to gear.(a bit like a hairline trigger)..dropped em off a bit and was ok..?
Just a thought.
