Can anyone tell me what sort of grease to use to lubricate the rollers etc in an li type light switch? Is it best to use a petroleum based type ( vaseline?) or normal grease, or even ky? (whatever that is :moon: ).
Also, what's the easiest way to put the thing back together without the spring and roller not staying in place.
Thanks.

Dialectric grease would be the grease to use. As far as rebuilding the switch, just make sure your screwdriver is very close at hand so as soon as the ball is in the center position, you can clamp it between your fingers then grab the screwdriver and screw it. It's a pain.
That's not going anywhere...
