I have just acquired a Sil Gp all complete (ish), with no engine. I do have a new sil 200 engine, a cdi unit and a regulator, but how does it all go together; there are no holes for the mounting bracket so I don’t know where the original coil would have been fitted. Also the current wiring loom has Brown/pink/purple/ and double Green wires where as the engine stator has Brown/yellow/white and single Green. I know it’s not rocket science but it’s got me confusalled.........HELP!
Cheers
What goes where- Electrical?
The stator brown is the lighting outptut so this connects to the regulator. Green, white and yellow are ignition and go to the CDI (yellow connects to the red terminal).
The loom green connects to the CDI and the remaining loom wires go to the regulator output.

If you are keepin the original loom I find its neater to make the connections using a DC type junction box. The best way of mounting the reg and cdi is to use a scooterloopyjohn fitting kit, but I think you will have to drill new holes in the frame (where points models had the cylindrical coil fitted).

or if you're not using an airbox, make a plate up to mount all the electrics :

[that spare stud on the bottom left is for an Agusto unit]
nice short HT lead then

keeps the back end tidy too

purple next to grey in bulb holder if the pink dont appear in the headset where it usually is an earth from ignition switch then it most probably be something to do with brake light switch .
good luck
any problems ask again

The pink wire goes to the brake light switch and from there to the rear light. The purple is the power to the headset for the pilot light circuit. Brown is power to the headset for main lights & horn. All three wires at the rear need to be connected to the regulator output.
