hi all
i'm building an imola kit on my DL 125 and i will appreciate your advices
before buying the exhaust...
what the better ratio and gearing for this kit considering i want to keep a little bit of torque
and a large power band for a general use.
is the JL road franspeed a good solution ??
Please let me know

built my imola and fitted a JL4 seemed to pull like a train
and loved the revs, swapped to a devtour, pulled about
the same but didn't seem to rev out as much as the JL4,
swapped back to the JL4 now and loving it :D

Engine: Imola 186 kit.
Carb: THX 27 MM Mikuni, ran open mouthed.
Set up: Needle 5EL68-3
Pilot 20
Main 250
Power jet 60
Exhaust: ScootRS pipe.

I changed the gearing to 5.00 and fitted a Devtour thinking it would be better suited to motorway use just before I did Lands End to John O'Groats run but it totally ruined the performance and wouldn't pull 4th into headwinds and had to drop into 3rd for lots of inclines. Also the taller gearing doesn't increase the top speed as it can no longer rev as high. The Imola is tuned to rev so gear it accordingly.

I'm doing an Imola at the moment:
Imola
JL4
30mm Dellorto Power jet
Li 150 box standard Sprockets (5.2)

What kind of clutch are you all useing or going to use?
I was thinking about a 5 plate MB clutch or can you get away with something cheaper?
Cheers Nick

i'm going to fit with a five plate clutch from tino but i do not know if the springs will be too strong to use ??? :?
Concerning the gearing i've decided to keep the dl gear box 17/46 ( 5,4 )...
