thats when you could still pick up gp/sx,s for £200 or less if they were in bits, i paid £50 for mine in 83 (WDG 162J) original ochre and less than 5k miles on it tyre were flat and had old petrol in there wheeled to garage pumped up tyres put a gallon in and some crap oil and rode home :lol:

I bought an SX200 for £120 in '85 off a mate. I never had to do a thing to it. Ran like a dream. It ran so well, I got bored with it and sold it a year later for the same price!! DOH!

Easy come, easy go. :)

I sold a GT/TV along with a shed full of spares including another lambretta to fund the respray of my vw so I could use it as a wedding car- in 1994 for the princely sum of £250.00 !!!
If it aint broke.........tinker with it.....
