CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THIS IS A tv 200 CASING BY THE NUMBERS INSIDE

don't think so.

This is a copy of an old parts list of mine for "GT" 200 parts that differ from ordinary slimstyle ones:-

..........the GT200 crankcase had an extra stud for the exhaust pipe......look and see if it has that, it is usually stripped and there may be a larger stud in it`s place, then you would be 99% sure that it is GT200 .......although it`s number should be 19610160....and not 19610054??...

....the casing studs were equadistant all the way around except the early GT200 which had the extra stud at the furthermost distance on the exhaust tailpipe clamp......it is as if an extra one was thrown in between the others ...which it had....this stud always ...always sheared off due to vibration..and because us mere Mods didn`t have access to helicoils, the stripped hole had a larger stud just screwed into it......you will notice it as it will stand out a mile from the other series 3 crankcases....

I`ve got an SX200 casing with that part no. inside, The neck of the TV200 case is different to GP cases and some SX cases, I say some because some TV type cases may have been used in early SX`s, look at the pics below sorry about quality of the TV case pic, but I`m not going out into the shed again,

TV200 case, note that its a bit smoother at the neck where the cylinder bolts on


SX200 case the area of the neck where the cylinder studs bolt have like a raised section at each stud. Hope this helps.

disagree- you would need specific crankcase covers with an extra "stud hole" and specific crankcase gaskets. Never come across anything with these extra holes

hope this helps looks like a TV 200 to me ............not bad for £60 and that was twice what the guy wanted

Take a photo from the top looking down between the engine mounts at the casing mouth

........this may well be the later 1966 GT200 with the narrower exhaust port......

..."Next up is the exhaust, there should be a clamp where it meets the down pipe, two 13mm nuts where the big bracket is, and a smaller 10mm nut at the end of the tail pipe.
