can somebody help, I am running a race rapido 225, 48mm clubman, 25mm dellorto with an LTH reed valve. Wanting to fit a more superior piston, ie, Wiseco or a jap piston or one of MB's pistons. I have also put this on LCGB forum so apologies if you have already seen it.

Hi Phil
I too am looking for a lighter piston option as my 70mm is around 375g with the wrist pin.
The trouble is most will require a 18mm small end thus a con rod change, crank spit, and the true etc, which all costs. TBH the MB race-tour of your choice although a more expensive option than say a Suzuki Mitaka will still work out cheaper.
This is unless somebody knows of a Jap piston with 16mm small end, perhaps with an RD rod.
Suggestion would be appreciated.
Best Regards

Chris

f.y.o. I have a 69mm MB piston and it weighs 208g bare, used the wife's digital kitchen scales.
