got an rt 220, excellent quality, still building scoot and only ridden 200yds around back of house, still needs jetting in, can't wait to get on the road, pulls like a train, have a casa 185 on another scoot which is smooth and pulls, but can already tell this is another level and a half, using with pwk 30mm and devtour, just about to paint panels so will update after xmas

Great, do you know if they recommend a small carb- around 24mm with a Clubman if poss, maybe would also go for a snail pipe.

Why don't you just ask MB ?
I've always found them very helpful and who'd be better qualified to answer your questions than the people who design the kits ?

Got the RT20 kit on mine with 30mm Del'Orto and a sterling pipe on,used it to travel to IOW,Woolacombe and Bridlington, plus local running about and so far I can definately vouch for it,I've thrashed it on the motorways and it's taken it well and it 8-) doesn't mind pottering around on A roads either!!

with the 24mm/clubman set up you can expect 16 - 18 bhp (mbd are developing their own clubman to suit the kits so ask about them)

with a jl3 curly then 17 - 20 bhp

with a b race curley then expect a bit more

personaly i would be concidering the biggerst bore and crank stroke that you can justify

you can go up to 255cc or easily get a 230cc or 240cc off the shelf with no casing work needed.

my brother should have a 255cc with clubman for next summer. im looking forward to seeing the results :P

Glad you like the engine Ian, wait till i finish your custom gp ts1 you'll love it.
Just for information's sake the RT is a 205 with 18 hp @ 6248 rpm and 15 ft-lbs @ 5659 rpm
useing gp 200 gearing, the power would be better with a more suitable exhaust.
