Not sure if this is the right place for this post so if the mod want to move it please do. I put a post in a thread a week or so ago, not a thread I started, about the Scootrs and Sterling disc brake debate. The post I made wasn't taking either product up or down. However, my post, or at least a portion of it, is now on the Scootrs site, out of context, as if I am recommending the scootrs product. Any body got any thoughts on this??

"Without doubt the the best thing I have ever bought for a scooter in 26 yrs (on and off). The first modification anyone should do in my opinion. Well made, good fit, etc, etc, in fact so good I have bought another for my GP."

This is the thread here:

http://scooterotica.org/tempforum/viewt ... f=7&t=6269" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This is the bit Scootrs posted:I've got a Sterling on my Series II. I didn't even know the difference with a ScootRS and Sterling until I read posts here on other threads. I am from Ireland and I bought mine from ShopX, who are a well known dealer.

Just to make it clear, I'm not too bothered. The only thing that surprised me was that the quotes are being taken off other sites. I assumed the quotes on the Scootrs site were from customers posting feedback on the Scootrs site. The bit they posted doesn't really make any sense.

You should see a copy of a letter that Scootrs MADE my customer sign before releasing one of their frames that had split from their welder in Canada. Then sent the frame to Casa USA who has an Innocenti frame jig. It wouldn't even fit on the jig... They even had the balls to deny selling the scoot in the first place. Suprised a copy of that letter hasn't made it to the website. Maybe it has, haven't checked. Still have the frame. After sandblasting, it was found to be unuseable.
I usually like to ask peoples permission before quoting them.
Here's a couple relating to that frame:
Pete Davis, UK Lambretta registrar: "In twenty five years, that's the only time I have ever seen that happen"
John Kruge, head mechanic Casa USA, Denver, "I'm Scared"
Scootrs, masters of language tomfoolerly.
BTW, I am not referring to or talking about any of the products they make or sell, just this one resto that I have personnal knowledge of.

Strange that scootrs use posts off other sites to promote their products, when they don't allow others the same courtesy. I posted a link to a scootrs switch diagram on here, to help out one of their customers, and they promptly removed it.

Yes their site, the diagram was replaced with a banner for scootrs.
