I'm looking for ideas for strengthening the strut for the side stand.
Any ideas?

I have welded a 1" tube from the front cross-member to the rear (stand) cross-member and fix the stand to that. You can use a clamp-on side stand. The tube can be positioned almost at the end of the cross-members.
