Renewing the rear hub oilseal............
I warm the seal then try to tap it in evenly using a drift that rests on the flat part of the seal.
Trouble is, it never seems to sit properly when fitted, looks like the oil seal lip has turned out on itself a little, although the seal lip is on the inner face of the bearing. I just know this seal is gonna leak......................
There must be a better way.
Using Rolf seals by on an SIL 200 engine bythe way.

get a stiff piece of plastic long enough to bend into a cylinder the same size as the inner bearing race, put it through the oil seal, leberally cover in oil, then place the plastic cylinder over the inner race and push the seal into place then withdraw plastic, job done

Worst job must be having to talk to the mechanic when you drop your scooter off for some workshop time

or even having to take it there, what's wrong with home pick up

Got pick up around here cos the workshop is about 15 miles away, but the cost is always factored in.
