Starting problems
Hi, my sx200 usually starts ok when cold but is a right pain to start when warm and i usually end up bumping it , anybody got any ideas whats up with it please ?
Hi Woody
I've seen this issue when poeple use large carbs with remote filters. As fuel gets spit back against the rubber it collects at the bend, then when you stop and restart then it has real issues. Apparently this can be corrected by putting a small 1mm hole at the bottom of the bend.

Always found this with an hot engine (normally after filling up),
Try kickstarting without touching throttle, just kick a few times till you here it fire an then next kick catch it with a bit of throttle, always works for me.

Old Lambretta's never die, they get tuned..................
You don't say what your carb set up is so previous answers may be right but its also a sign of ring wear.
Is it 12V electronic or points?
Sorry forgot to put its running with a 22mm jetex carb and a ralph saxelby 42mm megaphone clubman exhaust .woody wrote:Hi, my sx200 usually starts ok when cold but is a right pain to start when warm and i usually end up bumping it , anybody got any ideas whats up with it please ?
