I was going to swap my standard 1.5mm steels with 1.2mm in my 4 plate using some new Suflex B corks, as this would allow the plates to free up better when compressed. I aware that they are intended for 5 plate setups but would using them have any adverse effects on the above set up ?
Best Regards Chris.

That'll give you another 1mm or so clearance overall- can't see any problems (doesn't mean to say there won't be any......). For what its going to cost I'd say have a go and report back here if possible.

did this last week with 1mm steels and got very pronounced clutch slip on kickstart . when we took the casing of and measured distance to clutch actuator in side casing from gasket face it was 17mm., measured from top of pressure plate to gasket face (both sides equal) it was 19 mm , so we juggled various steels until we got 0.5mm clearance. the resulting clutch was one of the best i have ever tried , well happy(this was a hydraulic clutch hence the odd measurements) . hope this helps you
