Day spent on MB Dyno

I've been scootering for 24 years and still every so often I experience something that makes me feel like an exited teenager, seeing or experiencing something new. Yesterday I had one of those experiences.
I took my TS1 engine to Doncaster thinking that it would be stuck on the dyno, Mark and Max would say "it needs X" and it would be done and I'd return job done. No, what happened (at least to a non engineer like me) was a revelation into the depth of knowledge and methodical approach needed to queeze effective power from an engine. I say effective because my starting point was a good, tractable motor with a nice, even spread of power and I know I could increase HP easily but posibly destroy any driving pleasure.
Starting point is an MB stage 1 TS1 70mm with alpha 60mm crank, race tour piston, indian GP box with 19/46 and early racetour stainless exhaust. This is the set up I used for the Coast to Coast this year. Following is the dyno graph for my engine as it arrived at the shop.
So, I'm told the power curve is very smooth and both Max and Mark and maybe we should leave it alone. Apparently on TS graphs it is usual to have a drop in power as it progresses through the lower revs, but mine doesn't have it. Stupid me says "I want more power" and think that's all there is to it. 7 hours later and the magical result is this...
Torque still at 19, but slightly wider spread. Power slightly less low down, increasing higher up and sustaining much higher revs.
Intresting was to compare with an RB225 with JL4 exhaust. As you can see I've got more power, torque and a better spread of both. To say I'm happy is an understatement.
