pattern indian gear selector sliding dog unusable

bought 2 pattern indian gear selectors off ebay ( ..yes, i know. ), both
are unusable as the distances of the inner ribbed marks are wrong.
did someone have the same problem ?

are the SIL ones ok longterm?

i used indian ones in my last few engines 240 and ts no problems i class them as disposable and bin them every 10k miles at 10-15 quid a time why not

mine shattered and took out first gear after a 2 thousand miles,luckily i was changing from 1st to 2nd still nearly came off tho . i only use new italian or re-faced ones from taffspeed now .
