hub issue

Bought an Indian hub from a prominent parts dealer in the north, opened the pack and noticed RAMP stamped on the back, thought to myself "there was something someone said about ramp, but i can't remember what". 3 weeks later I get chance to fit said hub, torque it up and it won't move round 360 it binds on the shoes, is it scrap? it doesn't seem to be round :shocking: can anything be done with it apart from the obvious? I'm going to speak to someone at the shop, maybe i should have paid a few quid more for their 'italian' hub. If i'd got the thing off saftparts4u on ebay i wouldn't have been that suprised, but as i said this was from that place up north. your thoughts gents......

RAMP rear hubs are crap.
bin it.
absolutely inusable.

no cones available, not round, etc...

there are many topics and postings on these ramp rear hubs.
lcgb-forum,scooter bbs, here, etc...

;)

and before you bin it, don´t remove the studs, they are different and also
unsusable..

why are 30 gone ?
if you bought the hub from a shop you can send it back and get your money back or some other parts instead for 30.
write them that "RAMP" hubs are impossible to fit.

you can get usable ones for example from allstyles scooters or scooter restorations.
italian "FA" ones or indian genuine "SIL" ones.

now with about 100000 RAMP hubs sold off via ebay & co. someone should make plugs for the centre that we can use them as ashtrays at least...
