I am going to buy a complete engine from someone dont know which dealer yet
dont care really as long as they do a good engine with no s**t parts.

Which is the best engine to go for :-
A TS1 225 / 240 / 250 ect (dont know much about ts1 well any lammy lumps)
or the RB 250 / 260

if they say it will do 90/95mph i am going to do it not all the time just must of the time :D :D

I have heard TS1 long longer, RB's are faster but I know a few have gone pear shape
and gone bang.

which is the best way to go, or just wait till they fix the RB's problems.

both the rb and ts1 are good but the ts1 has proved good for very high miles. given a choice i would go for a un tuned 240 ts1 with v force reeds, race tour or wiseco piston and an mbd alpha crank or a bgm crank and a taffspeed low revving pipe.

high revving scooters are fun but not for high speed motorways. they are best suited to racing or screaming round town showing off.

in my opinion torque is what you are after not bhp and not revs but others prefer the other way round.

sounds like you need a M/C not a scooter 90/95 mph needs 30-35 bhp or an indian speedo on a standart TS1
seriously motors with that power need lots of maintanace and replacement parts even if stuff looks ok it is changed , what you need to do is upgrade/uprate every part of your scooter before a tuned engine is installed, brakes, suspension, lights, tyres, rims and 100 and 1 other things

all the parts are being or have been uprated

brakes + suspension
pm double disk + anti dive + out board shock & r1 on the rear
plus rear disc

lights
trying to get HIDS to fit at the moment

tyres
Schwalbe Tyres - 93mph + wide rear

rims
still looking for good ones

i dont mind getting my hands dirty and stripping now and again

go with the ts and a long crank, the lambretta engine is a learning curve and you will learn fast but not as fast as your wallet will empty!

Through personal experience I'd stay away from the RB kits :o
