Hi chaps,
Are the Spanish made rear sprockets/clutch spiders more prone to being damaged by clutch plates (grooves) than the Italian/Indian equivalents in anyones experience.
The reason I ask is that a mate is having a lot of problems with clutch not engaging( he sometimes has problems when pulling away from a stop when the engine is hot or cold) when the clutch lever is released on his Servetta 150. Cable adjustment/oil levels have been checked.
Any useful advice much appreciated...............
Spanish Rear Sprockets/Clutch Bells(Spiders)
as someone who has stripped alot of engines for spares/ internals in the last 5 yrs some being italian some spanish id say the spanish ones have less wear and the quality looks spot on most of these engines are LI 150 ones and the gearboxes are what lots are after, iv used spanish parts in both my TS1 and my 240 with 4 plate clutches and never had any problems i do how ever dry fit all my stuff and fettle till its perfect swapping parts for the best fit befor i file anything down i also shim the sprockets up so that the chain is aligned all this usually takes about 2 hrs .............i suspect your friend just has a mismatch somewere
