It was just a crap old cylinder that we had absolutely no use for, and so we let Mick play with it....it isn't something he's done as a serious tune, it was just a case of....lets see how much metal i can carve out of this! So its all just a bit of fun really.
Now as far as testing goes, i do have a small block engine half built, so the cylinder could go on that, but i really dont have time to finish the build.....and even when i do, the scooter that the engine is going into is miles off...........
But i am concerned, as i know that since i have posted the pics of the cylinder, loads of people have really taken a strong interest in the cylinder and Micks work, and are all waiting for the dyno results. And because the engine/scooter is not a prioroty for me, i feel a bit bad that Mick has done the work and has no results, and that forum members are waiting also. So..........
What i'm thinking is..........is there anyone out there that wants to test the cylinder?? All it needs is a dirt cheap asso piston from AF and you can slap it on and go! So if anyone out there has a slow machine and wants more power, or maybe they have blown up their kit and can't afford a new cylinder..............you can have this one for free!
Conditions:
1) You source a suitable piston and build the engine within 6 weeks, and return to us for your free dyno power run.
2) You can run the cylinder as long as you want, but if you remove it or trash it, you cannot sell it, you must return it to us.
3) We want no money, just dyno results within 6 weeks.
4) I can't think of a 4th condition.
So if anyone fancies it, please get in contact. If no one is interested i will eBay the cylinder and it will be lost in the realms of unfinished scootering history forever. If too many people contact me, priority will be given to those who contact me first, those with technical ability, those that live closest to our workshops, and those that we like the best based on their ability to make a good cup of tea (not in that order).
Over to you.................
Dan
