Genuine Keihin vs OKO copy

I bought a genuine Keihin PWK carb off eBay, it was from a motorcross shop that was closing down, and clearing stock and looking at the packaging it arrived in, it seems to be a real Keihin, and seems better quality when compared to my OKO ScootRS one. Both are 28mm, although the OKO is 'oval' rather than perfectly round.
But when I look at the slide, it doesn't seem to close completely at the bottom, there are a few mms gap. This is the same with either slide, from the genuine or from the OKO.
Does this sound normal, and I simply have to compensate with the pilot jet? I've not tried it yet, but the plan was to do a straight swap with the jets from the OKO (which are all genuine Keihin anyhow).
Plan was to put it on a Rapido 225 Lambretta.

Are you saying the genuine Keihin has OKO stamped on it? Don't think this is right if you are. Genuine Keihin PWKs just have Keihin and PWK28 stamped on
Also, if it's come from a bike shop, you'll probably find the slide is way too lean for your lammy, and you'll need a new one. A new slide is over £40
You don't want the slide to completely shut anyway, so it doesn't matter whether it does or not.
If I were you, and I know this is not the answer you want, I'd stick it back on ebay

Figured this one out.. didn't check the tick-over adjustment, made all the difference with the position of the slides when it was all the way out!
My genuine Keihin has PWK on one side, Keihin on the other. Doesn't seem to say that it's 28m anywhere that I could see. Anyhow it's on the scoot, it starts and sounds OK. Will take it for a test run tomorrow when it's daylight!

The other thing you could do is swap the slide from the copy to the original. You should find that the cutaway on the original, if it's for a m/bike, is significantly bigger

Did that anyhow, as the one from the OKO was chromed, where as the one from the original wasn't, and I'm always a sucker for bling! (plus it felt smoother in the slide bore!).

Hi, I had a genuine Keihin from Scoot RS and could not get it to work at all, hours wasted messing around( including heat siezures etc ) just didn't flow fuel well enough through the body. Then got a OKO copy and hey presto worked like a dream, both were 28mm ( OKO was 28/30 oval bore ). Ended up running it with a bellmouth with metal mesh, runs sweet with std Indian 200 iron barrel but will keep it to run on my Rapido 225. Only real issue is the choke cable but I do have a long range tank fitted so am running out of room, possibly need a short cable, anyone know who does em ?
