Stainless tubeless again

i know this has been done to death but is there many ppl out there with stainless tubeless wheels who ride fairly powerful setups? I am going for an imola and before i wasnt too concerned about the cracking issue of stainless but now with added power and speed this in my mind could be an issue.
I also have a set of the non stainless but the Mk1 without the safety beed.
i really dont want to have to pay again for another set but if its my life at stake i will have to. Is there many who have had cracks from Scootrs ones?

For me there's no doubt, It doesn't matter what the engine is. I seen the damage done to a Lambretta, rider and pillion at a slow speed due to stainless rims splitting.
My brother inlaw came off a bike at 10 miles an hour and his back and shoulder was shredded.
To worry about having to buy more rims or continue with stainless is mad.

I wouldnt go anywhere near a scootrs rim even if you paid me copiuos amounts of money. However i am prob quite biast....

Stay away from the stainless and fit the mild steel V1 rims I've had them on for about 4 years 9,ooo miles and 3 tyre changes on the rear and 2 on the front one The fact that they don't have the retaining bead means that the bolt in type of valve is normally fitted which is good. Don't believe all you read about these rims splitting after having tyres changed but when the time does come to replace worn out tyres cut them off to avoid damage to the rims as the tyres are a very tight fit

I use the split tunbeless type from Patron Racing at Doncaster,the only problem I've had is getting the tyre on and pumped up.

thanks guy, out of curiosity which wheel usually splits - i would assume the rear?
If this is the case - i bet someone will say it isnt, but....
I was gonna leave the front stainless and use the wider v1 100 x 90 /10 for the rear
or am i wrong is it the front: i dont ride pillion and am 11st.

The crash I'm referring to, was a front wheel failure. Sounds like your looking for an excuse to use them. Don't say you weren't warned,

Do the problems associated with stainless tubeless rims also apply to normal split rims made of stainless?

And anyone else you may bring down with you when your rims crack. When my my friend crashed we were on a rideout and it was pure luck nobody else was brought down.
