i have a taffy rear shock which has an adjustable length, on a series 1 fitted with an sx200 casing and ts1 kit with mbd manidold and v force reeds.

what shock length should i aim for, i think the series 1 is longer but does anyone know an ideal uncompressed length??

I'd try the standard Series 3 length (300 mm from eye to eye centres i believe) for a start (shorter than S1/2) and check your frame clearance.........I've seen some scoots with packing plates that needed the offset cones too to help with this issue.

i put the engine in yesterday, the pipe hits the frame before the inlet does so im ok there, its a v force so no packing plate. i think you are right it looks like a s3 shock will suit. ill measure the eye to ey to make sure. thanks
