help required pretty please

got up this morning rear tyre flat,come home from work started to take off rear wheel when
SNAP!!!!!! Boo#dy Stud + one other has started to spin.
Wots best opp,was takin my son for his first ride out with the club upto glasson docks thi weekend with 3 other clubs ,now this hub as been on for 2 years with no prob even after 4 punctures,can i get the studs out to replace or do i buy a new hub,

If it's the studs on the hub then you can remove them from the back, they are reverse thread though I think.

I think there are a couple of different kinds of studs - ones that are screwed in and others that are pressed in so you need to establish which you've got.
MB do a replacement stud that might suit or you can probably buy original screw in types.

Some of the new hubs are shite so if yours is an original item then it's worth tryng to repair.

just checked the studs are screw it type with the small thin bolt head on the back ,now if one is spinning isn`t there a thicker screw in type stud that can be used once tapped a little bigger are they the indian/italian one`s

I think the problem here is getting a left hand tap for original or oversized studs. I believe that MB used to do an oversized stud kit + tap but probably discontinued now.................anyone else

three of the studs av the same marks on the head & 1 as a differant mark on

replaced new wheel studs in hub put hub on again torqued up,now when brake applied peddle goes up and down ,not touched the shoes not touched the brake peddle before i put the rear hub back on will i have to take the hub off again and see if brake shoes have moved then refit again,never had this problem before :flaming:

Why not try a new hub and save that one for a rainy day mate? Will you risk the safety of your passenger and your safety over 40GBP? I doubt it is worth it. It never hurts to have an extra hub.

thanks but isn`t it silly one minute it doesn`t the next one it does anyway i`ll get another one but that might not be true
