I've got to change my chain soon, I have a green nylon top tensioner, just wondering if I should remove the bottom one, any thoughts?

What's the general view on lower chain gaurds? I've heard that some people leave them off due to the possibility of them breaking and jaming the sprockets

Definitely remove it - mine snapped at low speeds - just after a thrashing on the dual carriageway and went round the front sprocket - instantly locking the engine up solid

If it aint broke.........tinker with it.....
