Being a brit abroad and still actively scootering during the entire time i have been here, i built my Vespa chopper to show the guys in my indonesian scooter club what we used to do with PXs in the UK during the 80s. I did try to explain it to them but they just didnt get it so in the end it as easier to just build one. All the work i did myself including the engine, paint, welding and fabrication to create the fork yokes and the petrol tank. I wanted to keep it fairly "old skool" and simple should they want to copy it. This is the only vespa chopper in the country and caused quite a stir when it was unveiled about 5 years or so ago now, as you can see i have also introduced the Indonesians to the ancient british tradition of the brick under the stand
.
These pictures are from when it was first built and now it is looking a bit dog eared and will soon be updated and resprayed as soon as the schedule of work in the workshop allows. Watch this space for an update soon.
