nsr 125 clutch in a lammy

reading last months scootering the bit about bike clutchs i thought i can do that so just got a nsr 125 complete clutch from ebay for 5 quid there good for 31 bhp anybody else had a go at this

i think so ,if you use a crown wheel with a riveted baskert it will save on machining ,tbh this was far as i got on this one :cry:

me and a mate tried some stuff a few years ago after looking at aftermarket clutches at a scramble meeting we had limited access to a mill and lathe and our machining skills are limited to a few thread cuts and a bit of turning/ milling we never got it working right and had to butcher some original parts make up spacers and do some welding
this was the clutch before we started work its still in one of his engines

i also started a semi hyrolic cluth as well sourcing all the parts exept the hose i still have it all but now have no lambretta :lol:

hi shocky thats the same type of clutch ive got. ive removed the botton gear so ive just got the ally basket left . did you have any issues with the height of the new basket compared to a normal lammy one

yes it was to high so bits were machined of also the center needs a presure plate made up and this was to high for the gp side case brass plunger so all that was ground down as well and the recess were it moved in and out off the kickstart rubbed as well a side case packer was needed really and an extended kickstart shaft just got to much :cry:
