I have noticed that even with the fuel tap turned off the carb is leaking somewhere probably from the over flow.
I pulled the carb apart, cleaned it out and checked the floats for holes(all ok) etc but it still leaks.
Why?
The slide is worn and it does need an overhaul but why is it leaking?

just bend the tab on the float mechanism to shut off your needle valve sooner, ive had too do this.

Think i'll get new needle, jets etc as carb is worn
Thanks for your advice

just check before you spend your money that there isnt any plastic debris when you remove the needle valve,i had this on a brand new 35 tmx and had the same problem for months...i kept bending the tab and it would stop leaking, but then it would re-occur when least expected,i pressumed this was just an isolated fault with my carb, but its worth a quick check.
