what manifold to use on SR190

Hi
I bought a scootrs maniold (24-30mmPWK type for 200cc) to mount my Mikuni TM24 on my SR190 but found the bolt holes are nowhere near close to lining up.
I was told that the sr190 manifolds were the same as the 200cc pattern. Did i get that part wrong or is my barrel just a piece of crap.
Cheers
Rob

I've a TM24 mounted on an SR barrel. My manifold is 125-175 spacing. I originally had a bigger carb on so had to use a Beedspeed stepped rubber to mount the carb.
If I was fitting the carb from scratch, I'd use the MB manifold for a PHBL Dell'orto 25

Damn that was fast.
The MB does look like the business but its bloody pricey when I factor in the exchange rate, I try and see if anyone here in NZ or Auzzy has one.
My tuner is going to fit a reed blook as well so want to get the set up just right.
He also dragged out a turbo from his stash of spares and asked if I was keen to try and fit it........... I dont know whether to jump at the chance or leave well enough alone....... what to do

Why not just get a ScootRS manifold for the 150/175 stud spacing ?

I think i will, now that I know that the 150/175cc spacing will fit.

The SR175/185 barrel has a large enough gasket face to allow the use of a 200cc inlet manifold. You need to weld-up the short stud hole and re-drill it to the suit the wider spacing. You can then use an old 200cc downdraft inlet manifold to suit your choice of carb. This should give you a few more options.
This is what I plan to do next week.

or just elongate the hole in the manifold so you can fit it to the 190 barrel - as per the Mugello inlet manifolds.
This of course then means you need to open up the inlet port quite a bit to match the manifold so it's far more straightforward to just buy the right manifold in the 1st place !
Oh and don't forget to check that the barrel is drilled deep enough for the short inlet stud - mine wasn't.

good point Stokie, neither was mine, or any other SR barrels I have seen...
