Hi,

I'm thinking about making some changes to my inlet and never one to take the easy route, I'm planning to build my own inlet manifold.

I'm quite keen to use a flange mounted carb rubber, and I guess these are taken from motorcycles, but which ones?

I would like to try a 26/28mm Dell'orto, but if anyone can recommend something suitable for the VHSA/B 32mm, that would be very nice too.

Thanking you in anticipation, Martin

I've got a tame ali welder-man near my office. He's a smashing bloke and I really enjoy his company. He charges about £5 a job and does it the same day. I hate driving past his place and NOT giving him something to do. ;)

Anyway, Allen's Performance Parts is th place: http://www.allensperformance.co.uk/prod ... folds.html and the PM01 for the PHBH and the PM03 for the VHSA look good to me. I can't wait to get a couple (unless they are a stupid price).

I think you might be trying to lower the tone, Tone.

Anyway, even you have commented on the quality of Mick Jackson's welding....

You can buy 30 & 35mm flanged car rubbers from Chiselspeed near leeds :D , then all you need to do is make a flange for your shortend inlet, i presume you,ll shorten it, otherwise you may as well leave be.

Thanks.

I got in touch with Allen's performance, and they want about £30 per rubber, inc post and VAT. Ouch. If you bought two, the postage cost per item went UP, not down. :(

I'm a bit miffed really, cos I took time out to design some improvements to their website, and sent them over to them for gratis. :?

I'm off to the bike breakers. It's a bit out of my way, but it's gonna be a good deal cheaper than £60 for two.
