please does anybody no if this carb is ok to use for a 200 stage 4,its off a aprillia motorbike

You'll need to block off the brass tube that sticks out where the carb fits into the rubber mount (I understand it's for oil injection) and you'll need to check the jets, slide and atomiser and swap as necessary.
The air screw and idle adjustment screw are on the opposite side to a carb that you'd buy from most dealers to fit to a Lambretta so the engine mount will be in the way making adjustment a little awkward (but not impossible).
Other than that it should work fine.

Once sorted like Stokie suggest,s its a very good and comonly used carb on a Indian stage four, loads of people use them.

If you want it to last and keep it clean then a Ramair is a good idea, but you,ll get a bit more power open mouth,d IMO.

Not all Aprilia 28mm carbs are not suitable for piston ported two-stokes. Many do not have the primary choke around the needle. You need to check.

Open the slide and look down the mouth of the carb. As the needle descends into the hole in the bottom of the venturi, there should be a small brass collar around the hole. It is about 4-5mm high. If it isn't there, you will have problems with over-rich carburation at low revs unless you have a reed valve.

The carb can be altered to the correct spec, but as well as changing the collar, you will need new atomisers. The primary choke is about £9, the new atomisers are £9 (both plus postage) and someone to fit it (ME!)
