Looking for some advice please - my current rebuild has a GT186 barrel with the usual reed valve manifold that takes a 25mm Dellorto. Going for an open mouth carb this time and bought a 24mm Mikuni for this project. Problem is that when I try to fit this carb to the manifold there is not enough space for it. The Mikuni is tight against the engine mounting and also at an angle bending the carb rubber. Question is, do i need to change the manifold or is there another/longer carb rubber available to correct this problem?
