never heard of one officially, but with anything "Lambretta related", it doesn't mean to say there wasn't some...................
TBH I'd have more faith in a "Spanish TV200" than some "Non Chrome Ring Italian TV200's with IGM numbers" that are cropping up more and more regularly..............

Hi, The IOW Spanish built TV200 is mine and hopefully here is a photo of it (along side the gold JET 200 of Antony's from Buzz Solo Moto).
This one is one of 4 remaining examples that i know of. This is the one that was in Scootering magazine last year (April I think). There is a full write up of what we know about these models in that issue.
They are not faked in that the Eibar factory produced and sold these TV200 badged machines in 1966. PM me if you want any more info. Cheers Perry.

I think the problem with the write up in scootering it was in Aprils issue
& many people believe it to be a joke at first, me for one
But as Perry has just said and Im sure can reiterate they are real.
As alot of people know Perry is the main guru when it comes to anything Spanish

It was a tad unfortunate that it came out in the April issue of Scootering!! When we realised, Andy did point out that it was not an April fool's joke in the following issue...but i guess the damage was done.
The Spanish built TV200 is real, but it is more an exercise in badge engineering! Sorry no angle grinders, conspiracy stories or any skullduggery in this story.
By 1966, the spanish Lambretta factory had already made the TV2, TV Winter Model and Series 3 TV175. All locally manufactured but with Innocenti supplied disc brakes. No one seems to know for certain, but it appears that the Spanish decided to build a 200cc Lambretta in 1966. From early publicity photo's they must of toyed with the idea of building the SX200, as there are photo's of a white 'chromed ring' JET type SX200 in existance.
However the SX200 never made it into production, instead the Spanish made approximately 200 TV200 badged machines in 1966. These have SX200 prefix's on the frame and engine numbers (so are really the very first models in the subseuent JET 200 sequence). The engine fitted is a Spanish copy (ie JET) of an Italian SX200 engine (so no TV200 gearing etc).
My TV200 (plus two of the others) has all the original Spanish documents and dates from september 1966 (JET 200's were launched in 1967). Of the 4 survivors, 2 are in the UK, 1 in Spain and 1 in France, however i am sure more still surviving.
In 1967 the Spanish factory started producing the JET 200. The first batch were metallic green, however most are metallic gold. Ironically, during the production of TV200's and early JET200's, the Spanish did use a lot of Innocenti sourced parts including some 200 casings, del orto carbs, switches etc.
Eibar and Innocenti appear to have a good and close working relationship in the early days. I think that the TV200 is a nice and interesting peice of Lambretta history. However these machines are not (nor can they be made into) Italian produced TV200's.
Hope this helps everyone. Cheers Perry

perry i didnt mean your scooters it was the italian ones chris had mentioned that had been doctored by some well established scooterists to meet the growing demand for tv/gt,s ,and those buyers were unaware of the exact frame types and igm numbers
