I've just tried fitting a close ratio gearbox to my lamy.......I was unable to fit the end plate as the distance between the layshaft and the shaft of the gearbox cluster seems too far apart.....When I refitted my innocenti 150 gearbox the end plate fits with ease. The difference between centres of the shafts is slightly less than 1mm but it is too much to thrash on with a big hammer.
The parts are innocenti layshaft, indian close ratio gearbox, Indian gp200 engine case and end plate and SFK bearings.
Has any one come across this problem before? Or is it that this f**king engine is fighting me every part of the build!!!! :flaming:
