Anyone know how big the oversizes go? 66mm by chance.

Mr Suzuki only made two oversizes, 64.5 and 65mm but Mitaka and Hi-Level pistons go to 65.5 and 66mm. You can get the whole pattern piston kit for about £40, and they have a good record of reliability.

Thanx Martin, would you know the model number for the Mitaka or Hi-levels available in 66mm suitable for Lammy apps.
I`ve an SR barrel bored to 66mm that I want to mess about with. Top and tail, 60mm crank,etc.

Pop down to your local bike shop. The Hi-Level catalogue is a like a bible for many bike shops, as Hi Level manufacture a huge range of parts and the catalogue is about 6 inches thick. Ask to have a look through. The section of pistons is fantastic, with all the spec listed (diameter, length, gudgeon pin diameter, compression height, number of rings, thickness of rings etc etc). I tried to steal just such a catalogue, but I couldn't lift it off the counter, let alone run off with it.

PS If you had asked for OE Suzuki piston numbers for TS185 pistons, I'd have done that from memory.

I've a shortened barrel and found that the area around the lower inlet stud has to be left on but is still lacking enough meat and has stripped its thread, so next one will have a longer rod instead.

not sure what the 66mm version is but the 64.5mm is 12110-29900 - maybe that will give you a good starting point?

I could have told him that Ian . Actually, the 29900 part number refers to the TS185ER piston, which is the best of the bunch. It has cut-outs in the side of the piston around the gudgeon pin. This reduces unnecessary contact between the bore and the psiton, which reduces friction.

Deffo go for the 116 rod. Longer rods = more torque. Longer strokes = more torque.
