would be cool if everybody would ask their dealers for the reproduction of genuine 20mm and 22mm dellorto carbs. with increasing prices of lambretta scooters and the trend towards restos and soft tuning work (22mil, stage 4, mugello, ancilloti boxes) there would be a market and people would pay some more for a correct working one.
now go on with the debate...
also write to mags..and of course dellorto...
:D

Use a 24mm mikuni or a 25mm dellorto.

Why carry on with a 45-50 year old carb?

why carry on with a 45 year old carb ?
because the scooter is 45 years old and i like my gp 200 original.
i know a lot of people swopping reedvalves for a sh20 carb on their sx
nowadays. seems there are also people in the lcgb-forum wanting 20/22 mm dellos...
generally i agree with using a better modern carb ( the mikuni 24 is a top choice), but on restos i (like many) am fed off with worn out and choke-stripped and screwdriver-butchered sh20 / sh22 dellos.

(at least the f@@king clamps could be remade...  )

You could probably get your wish of new Dell'orto carbs, you just need to order about 50,000 of them...

Mr. Hepworth, 22mm Jettex carbs do work very very good when you run a Vijay super 150 cylinder, SIL piston, 150 head and std GP exhaust set up. Why a bigger carb? I know they are better carbs but are they also better on consumtion? I am amazed at how little my set up drinks, and the power it has for being a small standard 150. I wonder if there is something that I am missing. On our racer we do have your MB Dellorto carburettor and IT IS the dogs, but it is a racing machine, completely different issue. Any thoughts?

trouble is dellorto arnt going to remake a carb that it has nothing to fit it to anymore and tbh its a shite carb anyway, as ian says the tmx 24 or a phbl25 is a much better bet
