Which are NOT correct by the way. He has good detailed information about Italian Lambrettas NOT of Spanish Lambrettas, where, unlike the Innocenti models, info has to be gathered upon experience of findings. Unfortunately there was never a number stated of the production of Eibar Lambrettas.

A 555_ _ _ engine, as Chris has said, belongs to the mid seventies. BUT ALL the jets started by 550 - - - the brit lammy archive is saying that there where Jets that started by 500- - - which making a study of all the early jets I know in existance, close to me, none of them started by that number.

Hi Jaime, hope that you are well?

As Jaime says, JET's started 550001 and not 500001 (these are TV2's). An early 555XXX number would be UK registered 1975, however some later ones were registered in the UK as late as 1977. Hope this helps. Thanks Perry

I have seen at least ten here that were all 554 and they were all 74's, so 555 would prolly 75's
That's not going anywhere...

for historic vehicle purposes you can assume it was manufactured in 72,but would need to get confirmation from lambretta archive £7.00 if i remember correctley, take the confirmation along with you when you next tax it

Hello Mr. Lewis, how do? Very well myself thanks!

I don't get this registration thing really. I have a Vega that was registered in England in 1971 when they wheren't even making Vegas... But to each their own. We also have some screwd up numbers over here. THe biggest mistery to me is a Winter model starting by 6_ _ _ _ _ _ I swear it. Registered in 1976. First owner was a dealer. Can you guess the story? THe dealer called eibar and said he wanted a Winter model. THey made it with two seats, blanked speedo, and an oil cap on the speedo housing on the front drum. Its a lovely rustoration owned by Ian from Scootertechniques.
