Any Dealers Do Timesert Or Helicoiling

As above, does anyone know if any of the main dealers do timeserts or helicoiling, need a manifold stud thread hole fixinx inan ally barrel?

go timesert everytime on an area like the inlet or outlet helis are ok on non stressed items nowadays i use timeserts on armoured vehicals nothing bellow 20mm thought

Dom,

Will the hole ali weld? John Howe could do that, or my top welder chap near Adastral Park. Come to think of it, John Howe might have Helicoils. Do you need M6 (TS1/RB/Imola) or M7 (everything else)?

I guess you know that Paul T has M6 Helicoils......

if you can get round to hayes middlesex or post it then im sure either sugarlump or johnscone could do them for you. both only have time certs as they are the best.

Cheers Martin, it's M7, just threaded so won't need welding, hopefully. I'll try to get it timesert as it appears that most people reckon they're better.

Cheers Martin, it's M7, just threaded so won't need welding, hopefully. I'll try to get it timesert as it appears that most people reckon they're better.
Last time I went to see John Howe a couple of years back with a similar problem with a Mugello barrel he had some stepped studs. M8 one end M7 the other. Just drilled and tapped the barrel to M8 and replaced with the stepped stud.
