hi, i recently bought a 35mm tmx mikuni carb off ebay & the pilot jet seems a lot longer compared to the ones in my mates tmx carbs , i've (hopefully !) attached a couple of pics to show the difference, i just want know if it is ok to use this type of jet if i get the right size (currently has a 15 in it ) but i think i need around a 22 for my jetting, or have i made a mistake & bought a duffer :( !!! carb seems exactly the same as my mates apart from this jet ! thanks for any info. db :)

Ive got one on my rb20 its off a rm125. You can get pilot jets for them from allens, only a few quid each.

I too bought recently a TMX with the longer pilot jet (vm28 type). It has a 45 in it. Are the measures of the vm28 pilots like the vm22?
Can i run it on a ts1 or should i buy a 20/22,5 vm28 pilot?

Yes the jets numbers are the same. the numbers refer to the hole size or the amount of fuel they flow, in a measured amount of time (can`t remember which one). Mine had a 45 in as well.

So a 45 will be too rich for a ts1?
Should i buy a 20/22,5?
