This was gonna be my first full resto
i picked this bike up in Jan 08, hoping to show it off at that years IOW

Image

I set about stripping it and finally got it to this stage

Image

credit crunch kicked in and monet became tight so the plan was IOW 09

over the coming months i set about fixing stuff up, getting bits in and getting the bodywork sorted (all when money was available)

BRM speedwell did some panel work and welding

next step blasters to see how bad it was

Image

Whilst all that was going on the engine got a clean and new kit/internals

Image

Image

then came a full dry build, mot and registration carry on

Image

once all that was done January 09 it was stripped back down and off to the painters

Image

Now the exciting bit, the rebuild

as i said it was all new to me so it took a while, trying not to scratch stuff etc

and the end result was done and ready for the IOW 09

Image

I am sure a few people saw it over the 3 days and i was as pleased a punch it got there and back in 1 piece

Image

My inspiration

Image

The colours are Mustang Gold Glow and Raven Black, same as the car i chose to base the scheme around

Well done. I like it.

Full credit for doing the full dry build. I think it's my impatience & I know it has to be done, but I hate doing dry builds.

If I ever did a dry build to that extent I'd be inclined to go "feck it" and just get the matt black out and finish it that way.
