Led/brightness
I recently put an auxillary battery to run an indicator setup, it all works but they dont seem very bright given that my battery is 12v 7ah. I wondered if it was because they only have one lead coming from them to the +. I did try an earth on each one but again no difference. They are the chrome bullet type, and wondered if it was worth changing them for high intensity LED or is there a simple reason?
Assuming the bulbs are 12V what wattage are they?
yes they are 12 watt bullet type
I've never come across 12 Watt! I would look for some around 25W 12 Volt. See if this improves the situation.
I just re-read this thread. You are saying you have 'bulbs' fitted. Not LED's ?Daggs wrote:I've never come across 12 Watt! I would look for some around 25W 12 Volt. See if this improves the situation.
sorry 12v, they are 25w.
I think LED bulbs are the way to go, they use much less power and much less volts to light them, 0.1v on some. And LED are getting brighter as well. All the big car companies are fitting them to all their car including the head lights now.
