Hi, I found this list of Lambretta nut & bolt sizes, It may be of help to somebody.

I have heard its far cheaper to buy yourself than to invest in various nut & bolt kits which can be found on sale, i.e ebay

Apparently in certain countries the use of stainless nuts & bolts to major fixing points such as forks and wheels has been outlawed.....

Stainless steel fasteners ie bolts, screws and nuts, can 'fire up' with one another. Lubricating them before assembly, i.e smear the threads with copper grease or Waxoyl before assembly will help prevent against this problem.

http://www.stagonset.co.uk/ sells stainless in the uk, and has No minimum order.
I was going to send the list off to them and see how much, inc postage it would total.

Please feel free to amend or add to the list below as it is something I found on the internet and saved for future reference for when I am at that stage of my rebuild.

Upon replies here, I may opt for Zinc plated fork and wheel fixings as opposed to stainless

The two most common grades of stainless steel used for nuts bolts etc. A2 stainless and A4 stainless.

The real differences are A2 can be cut fairly easily with a hacksaw etc. but it will readily become very hard if it is overheated for examply if you try to drill it at a high speed or if you try to use a blunt drill to make a hole in it.

A4 is a slightly different alloy it is very strong and does not stretch, it is also very hard (it is used for stainless masonary nails as well as nuts and bolts) you will have great difficulty cutting an over sized bolt down to a shorter length, but a nut is unlikely to be damaged or rounded off
