ok guys
looking for nice touring set up which way do you think i should go
indian standard or
225cc with standard carb & 48mm exhaust or
tweaked cast barrel with 48mm exhaust breathing through a standardish carb set up
or do i change to a 60mm crank to get a nice return of usable power

how much would that set up cost sean i only ask as i have the chance of the inferior breed in the shape of a gp 200 ok its a curry burnere but crank and internals have been swoped for italian items
just dont know if a standerd 200 is inkeeping with my love of speed!

I've got close to that set up. 200 stage 4 (actual - JB tuned), 30 mm Mikuni, matched manifold, 60 mm crank. The 200 kit from JB was surprisingly reasonable.
Would people recommend a 42 or 48 mm clubman (looking to replace the one that's on it)?

If your used to speed get the barrel pimped up..mines standard and Im used to TS1 and its murder mate bloody murder, keep checking behind me to see if someones hanging on..

Im gonna upgrade mine..fancyed suzuki TS but pushing towards stage 4 with asso piston and sling the rest of the budget towards carbon bits and LIME green paint job..
I think its bazman who runs (sean brady tuned) stage 4 and he says it runs very very well..

in some ways ..........the indian barrel often gets" bad press".........
and for a couple or three of misguided reasons............
on one hand.............theres the folk that say.......its already a stage 4 tuned barrel and therefore assume that it cannot be improved............
on the other hand ,you get certain other folk (tuners) saying that the metal is to hard and makes tuning difficult...........
and yet again ...........certain others have just said...........basically that they are nothing but scrap.............
i have always disagreed with all the above......reasons......and if anyone would like further reassurance that their indian barrel has potential...just check out the "Kursaal flyer "topic..........................

This is probably its best feature its hard probably the hardest cast iron barrel available for a Lambretta.... Which also makes it very hard wearing.... For the money its one of the best kits available, and once properly tidied up to a good a standard better value "long term" than most other kits...

Yeah was very happy with my 200 cast barrel , good tourque and bhp and more importantly reliable to boot, gave it a caning everywhere and no worries.....why did i go down the rb route?

2 very different engines altogether and which one do i like more............
