Hello peeps, reading through sticky's manual, I realized that he reccomends machining for the mag flanges if they aren't for our exact casing. My question is, if I am dumb enough to not nottice when a reputable shop sells a 150 mag or a 200, how can I tell if they tell me "it serves both Series 2,3 and series 1 models with some modifications" May I have a clue as what to check?
i think the flange intudes into the transfers if my memery is correct.
i recall having to dremel a bit back so it flowed properly. i think all i did was fit the two tegether and it was obvious

yea nick is right:
the 200 opening is bigger than the 150 so the transfer port is closer to the flywheel by a few mm when you put the mag flange on its easy to se if its not right as it wont look flowed , the same goes for if you match the casing to the port on a barrel this bit needs doing as well , if its not done the barrel spiggot can hit the tranfer port cut out on the mag flange as its still raised a mm or so higher than the rest of the cut out this can cause an air leak or the gasket to not seal and in extrem cases a crack in the barrel spigot esp on ally 225 cylinders ,i dont think its so much of a problem on indian cases as there reported to be 1mm higher on deck height
if you look were the end of the pen is it start to rise up this is a 150 mag flange and a 200 cylinder is wider on the spigot than a 150 so might hit as it gets higher

Many thanks to both. I will try my best to match it. I will try matching the casing as well to my 190 cylinder as well
